Andrew Hobbs : Freelance Photographer Press, Events, Commercial, and Black & White Documentary |
||
Although born in North Devon, and having lived in America and Scotland for a time, I have now been living and working in Somerset on the edge of Exmoor for the past 25 years. Photography has been a part of my life since I was at school, but it is only recently that I have been able to pursue my dream of becoming a professional photographer. To that end, I have been working as a freelancer for the last four years and have steadily been building up my client list. Being freelance means I cover many disciplines including commercial, event and documentary photography but while I enjoy all my work, each bringing its own rewards, I have found myself drawn more and more to photojournalism and it is this area of my work that has been growing over the past four years. I regularly cover news stories for the Western Morning News and in 2014, I have been commissioned by Sportive Photo Ltd to cover some of their national cycling events. As well as this, I contribute to the Apex news agency and more recently Turkey’s international Anadolu Agency. I am also very proud to be the Exmoor Magazine's features photographer and to be the official UK photographer for Cognita Schools’ Spanish Exchange Programme. I hold a national UK press card and I am a member of the Bureau of Freelance Photographers. |
